Divided
in two parts, the bar was the room next to the
shed, where the ancient Walser once used to dedicate
them self to the production of the butter ant
the typical cheese of Piemonte region: the "Toma".
The milk was heated on the fireplace (which is
still undamaged) while in the next room women
devoted themselves to other activities: wool-spinning
and the manufacturing of the characteristic slippers
in rope and tissue: the "Scapini".
Seated on the benches at the sides of the room,
the evening was the convivial moment of the day
and, around the stove you can still feel the atmosphere
of the old-fashioned life.
